The chemistry behind autumn 🧬🍁 Fact #4 Did you know, the chemical that makes tree's go the vibrant oranges, reds and yellows are in fact the same chemicals that give carrots (beta-carotenes) and egg yolks (lutein) their colours?🥕

The chemistry behind autumn 🧬🍁 Fact #3 🍁 The chemicals that occurs in leaves during autumn are types of flavonoids, such as carotenoids and anthocyanins, which are responsible for the vibrant ambers, reds and yellows of autumn.
