World Hippopotamus Day is on February 15th! PANDASIA invites you to celebrate the World Hippopotamus Day on February 15th. This special day raises awareness for the incredible hippos and emphasizes the importance of protecting their natural habitats. Did you know that these magnificent creatures are classified as vulnerable? As they face threats from habitat loss, poaching, and climate change, it’s crucial for us to advocate for their conservation. Let’s work together to ensure that future generations can enjoy these amazing animals in their natural environments. In Thailand, we’re lucky to have the famous Moodeng Hippo, a beloved symbol of wildlife conservation. Moodeng’s story highlights the pressing need to protect not just hippos but our ecosystems worldwide. By taking action to preserve their habitats, we can help maintain biodiversity and ecological balance. Be part of the conversation and support initiatives that protect our planet and its precious wildlife! #WorldHippopotamusDay #ConserveWildlife #SaveTheHippos #MoodengHippo #WildlifeConservation #ProtectOurPlanet #BiodiversityProtection #PANDASIA #EUfunded #HorizonEU #PANDASIA-project

On January 24-25, 2025, the WP6 team led by Dr. Kanokwan Suwannarong met in Bangkok to revisit the planned activities for Fiscal Year 2025. WP6 is PANDASIA’s component that is in charge of communication, dissemination, and exploration tasks of the project. This two-day meeting focused on improving the communication and dissemination activities and content of the PANDASIA website, utilizing various channels like social media, optimizing the website design, developing relevant content or stories, actively engaging website and social media visitors, and regularly monitoring and analyzing the website traffic for improvement. In 2025, WP6 will focus on developing content and knowledge translation to bridge the gap between technical research and practice or application. Content of communication will be synthesized and translated into simple and plain language summaries to make information delivered easy to understand and digest. #PANDASIA-Project #SUPA71

"World Wetlands Day 2025" On 2 February 2025, we celebrate the incredible importance of wetlands as biodiversity hotspots, hosting a wealth of wildlife and plant species. These precious ecosystems provide essential services, such as water filtration, flood protection, and carbon sequestration, which are vital for a sustainable future. However, wetlands face significant threats from pollution, land development, and climate change. As we recognize the theme "Wetlands for a Sustainable Future," let’s unite to promote initiatives to combat the alarming loss of wetlands. By avoiding wetland destruction, minimizing impact, supporting local restoration projects, and advocating for sustainable land-use practices, we can ensure that wetlands will continue to thrive for generations to come! Every action counts in safeguarding our natural treasures. Happy World Wetlands Day 2025! #WorldWetlandsDay #WetlandsForSustainableFuture #Biodiversity #Conservation #EcoAwareness #SaveWetlands #SustainableFuture #EcosystemServices #ClimateAction #BiodiversityProtection #FutureReady #PANDASIA #EUfunded #HorizonEU #PANDASIA-project
