As we close out Black History Month at Orr Academy High School, we remember the struggle of our ancestors; we look to the future that involves HBCU's and Greek Life, and we celebrate 50 years of Afrocentric Music and Rap. Great things are happening at Orr Academy HS.

Learning at Orr does not only occur in the classroom. Chicago Museums, Nature Centers and Embarc provide our scholars with the opportunity to explore our wonderful City and all it has to offer.

Meet some of our best and brightest AP Computer Science Students. The ability to get college credit in high school is essential for our students. Orr scholars are hungry for more AP and dual enrollment classes. Great things are happening here at Orr.

Thank you to Operation Basketball for bringing their Jumpers and Jobs Tour to Orr Academy High School. Students were able to fill out applications for Target, the Chicago Park District, Foot Locker and Nike.

Today we celebrated the greatness of our Freshman Spartans. All of these students received straight A's for their first semester in High School. These are young people who will do great things and they are students you want to know. Great things are happening at Orr Academy.
