Oregon Law’s Office for Community Dispute Resolution program recently secured $1.2 million in grant funding from Oregon Housing and Community Services. The funding is being used to deliver free eviction prevention mediation services in the state.

Tanya Monthey utilized her 2022 OLSPIF stipend as an intern at the Metropolitan Public Defender (MPD) as a Certified Law Student, managing her own misdemeanor caseload. Monthey works with clients, conducts investigations, negotiates, and appears in court.

Cooper Mittlehauser received a 2022 OLSPIF stipend and due to its funds was able to work with the Great Rivers Environmental Law Center (GRELC). This provides free and reduced-fee legal services to those who work to protect the environment and public health.
