Good news: The RTX 4090 layout is very similar to 3090. While not identical, the PCBs are close enough to make new GPU block design far faster. This means our 4090/4080 blocks will launch close to GPU ship dates :)

4090 testing done! Interestingly, waaay more power goes directly to the die. 4090 (strix) vs 3090 (kp) (furmark): 515 watts vs 203w on the die with 560w vs 465w on the board. With our block, die-to-liquid delta is 19c at 515w vs 9c at 203w on die. Which is insane :D

Kingpin is getting close! Numbers: With active backplate, vram is ~26-30c lower than our XL Heatsink (so 46-48c now vs 74-76c). Plus KP gets an extra few C lower on the die (vs our ftw block) allowing for a higher OC.

We are pleased to announce we are moving to Cerakote ceramic coating! Kingpin blocks will be the first to feature Cerakote in place of nickel and anodizing (shown is our FTW3 block in white). We will transition all Optimus products to Cerakote in the coming months. (thread)

Yes, our Intel CPU Blocks are 10th gen aka LGA 1200 socket ready! Because the socket didn't change! Just the pin count inside😁 Oh, and the new 10th gen puts out a lot more heat (more cores = more toasty), upwards of 300w. Our blocks are made for even max 🔥

We've had many Q's: yes, our AMD blocks work with AM5 (the mount is identical). The CPU IHS is different, and die areas are smaller v prev gens. We won't know the performance until we have samples, but smaller areas with more heat is where our blocks shine.

Good news: despite the taller PCB, the Strix 4090 block will be the same height as the 3090 blocks. So, yes, it will fit in an 011 XL. And because the card isn't nearly as wide, compatibility will be higher for all kinds of builds.

Here is the Rev2 4090 GPU block upgraded brass middle plate and cold plate (in nickel and copper). The new mid allows for even higher block rigidity which equals better contact pressure for improved thermals. One way we're making the best even better :) .

Good news! We will be releasing the Signature V3 AMD block with both IHS and direct die options. In our initial testing, the new block is approx 9c better than a direct die block (~250w, prime95).
