๐The first sports betting legislation I have seen filed this #txlege session. @SamHarless126 just filed #HJR134 proposing a constitutional amendment to legalize and regulate sports wagering in Texas. It authorizes the legislature to allow betting on sporting events, but only through specific entities, including professional sports teams existing as of January 1, 2025, sports organizations that held professional golf tournaments in Texas before that date, and class 1 racetracks operating on that date.
