You can buy Nike shoes online for $40, sell them on Amazon for $85, and make $25. Even if you buy 100 pairs, you still need to go find more shoes. Once we close a deal with a brand, we no longer need to put in the effort to 'source' that brand. We buy on repeat with no effort.

Would you take 2-3% profit margin? Costco does. The larger the business, the smaller the profit margin gets and the more volume gets moved. As you grow and get more capital, don’t be afraid to take smaller margins if it means more bottom dollar.

Distributors carry thousands of brands in their catalog. If you secure a wholesale account with a distributor, your price is based on how much inventory you're buying. Most distributors don't have a vested interest in the brands they carry, which is why money talks.
