I was lucky enough to see Maze live when I was an impressionable 16 year old. Blew my mind. Then got into the Northern Soul stuff. Incredible tunes! RIP.
Funk legend Frankie Beverly has sadly passed, aged 77. We salute The Maze frontman whose soulful, blithesome sound captured the warmth, spirit and communion of black America. Rest easy.
