To practice primary care in the county setting is to witness and fight against endless vehicles of structural violence in our communities. When these systems extract from & abandon communities to sickness, cutting visit times in half is worse than accepting defeat.
“Dr. Gray Ballinger, a primary care doctor at Queens Hospital Center, said the idea of striking gained momentum among her colleagues in recent weeks after the hospital implemented a new policy that cut the time allotted for new patient visits in half.”

In case it's not clear- we need to abolish Medicare Advantage. Any convo about algorithms must first be about the political economy of the host industry. And this is one of the worst cancerous growths in healthcare. End it, before @CMSGov @DrOz completes the privatization.
A couple weeks late, but finally sharing some thoughts on Algorithms, Medicare Advantage, and the political economy of AI in Healthcare 1/
