🚨Today, I spoke with Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin who is urging parents to speak at tonight’s final Virginia Board of Education public hearing on how schools should handle student overdose notifications. It starts at 5:30 PM. You can sign up to speak here: The hearing is virtual and you can participate via your computer or phone. On Halloween 2023, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman announced that there was a string of overdoses involving students who attended the same high school in Sterling, Va. Altogether, 11 Park View High School students overdosed within an eight-week period, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Many of the overdoses involved fentanyl. Loudoun County Public Schools didn’t immediately tell parents about the string of student overdoses which is why Gov. Youngkin issued an executive order requiring schools to notify parents within 24 hours. Story:
