He had willpower, determination, and strength—I never imagined they would make him like this. I am very saddened by what my teacher Ibrahim is going through.😢 I pray that Allah grants you strength and patience.
This is my teacher, Ibrahim Al-Shawish, from my hometown, and one of my high school teachers. He was arrested by the Zionist occupation during the genocide and was released today. Take a look at his face after the ordeal! I speak for both myself and him when I say: Fuck you, you will never break our will, and we will never forget, never forgive.

A friend of mine who remained steadfast in northern Gaza tells me that on one of the days of the genocide, when the weather was extremely rainy, the Israeli army entered the house where he was alone. He hid under one of the beds, without a whisper or a breath, and remained in his place without moving for four days. He says: There was a small crack in the wall where water seeped through, so I would place my tongue on the wall to moisten it with that scarce water. He also says: I was certain that I would not survive, but I don’t know how God blinded them from seeing me. After those four days, the Israeli army left.

I’m very happy that the Israeli prisoners this time were released in bad condition. They are no better than our prisoners. Although the difference is very large, we kept them safe despite the starvation, bombing, and destruction caused by this Israeli occupation, but our prisoners were tortured in the most horrific ways.

This square you see is not just any ordinary square. This square is a mark that a tent once stood here—a tent that sheltered a family of a father, a mother, sons, daughters, and dreams. This square once concealed the suffering of hunger and cold. This square was an entire life for a family that once dreamed of survival. This square consists of four sides: one of loss, parallel to a mother’s tenderness, and one of fear, parallel to a father’s protection. Today, I passed by this scene, sat down, and thought for a long time, imagining everything, until I realized that I had been standing in the same place for an hour.
