PNDbotics, a low-profile Chinese robotics company, has developed its first humanoid robot named Adam, designed with a modular structure for scalability and ecosystem integration. Adam stands 1.6 meters tall, weighs 60 kg, and features 34 degrees of freedom (DOF) for advanced motion capabilities. Key highlights of Adam include: •Biomimetic Design: Adam’s pelvis mimics human movement, enabling natural walking, running, and complex motions with agility. It uses reinforcement learning to improve motion control over time. •Technical Features: Equipped with 25 quasi-direct drive actuators for precision and adaptability, a 12th-gen Intel i7 processor for motion control, and a real-time communication network for seamless operation. •Mass Production: PNDbotics has optimized Adam for cost-effective mass production, aiming to make it accessible for industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and research

Meta has introduced PARTNR, a research framework aimed at advancing seamless human-robot collaboration. Building on the Habitat series, PARTNR integrates simulation-based training to prepare robots for real-world tasks like cleaning, cooking, and organizing. It includes: •Benchmark: A dataset of 100,000 tasks to evaluate robot performance in simulated and physical environments. •Dataset: Human demonstrations in simulation to train embodied AI models. •Large Planning Model: Designed for efficient task execution, enabling humans to complete tasks 24% faster. This open-source initiative seeks to address challenges like task tracking, error recovery, and coordination, aiming to make robots intuitive partners in daily life.
Meta PARTNR is a research framework supporting seamless human-robot collaboration. Building on our research with Habitat, we’re open sourcing a large-scale benchmark, dataset and large planning model that we hope will enable the community to effectively train social robots.
