Make this make sense to me. The Canadian military has HUNDREDS of these pages, all redacted. All this was happening behind closed doors, weeks and weeks of legal discussion, planning, legal analysis, the FULL throttle of the Canadian Forces legal system. They even preemptively protected themselves during this process by redacting any discussion on how they justified the mandates. What bothers me is not what's on these emails, but the discussions made it necessary to conceal it. Legally. What bothers me even more is that they put me up against this giant institution where, on my own without legal council, I was supposed to make my case in the span of a week or two without any legal knowledge. And they say we have the grievance system to have our cases heard. In the CAF it's there to help settle disagreements between supervisors, nothing legal. The fact the CAF used legal privileges should deem the grievance system as a means for justice moot for the troops who were kicked out. They used legal resources fit for court, why can't I? I think Jake Paul is the real business man here, he's the one looking for results and Barber being the one offering him the service.
