“A protest outside a venue”. It’s not a protest - it’s a mob intimidating Jewish people. And it’s not just a venue - it’s London’s Jewish community centre JW3. Stop covering up antisemitic hate.
We are dealing with a protest outside a venue in Finchley Road NW3. Officers were quickly on scene and remain there. Conditions under section 14 of the Public Order Act have been imposed on those protesting. One person has been arrested for criminal damage.

Labour's very low £1m threshold for Agricultural Property Relief means the majority of ordinary family farms will be caught in Inheritance Tax. Farmers can no longer hand their farms to their children to farm too. It is the end of the family farm. #Budget2024.

Equality legislation is not a devolved matter. It is a reserved matter, and cannot be decided by the Scottish Parliament. But don’t ask me… ask the Scottish Parliament’s own website:
This is a full-frontal attack on our democratically elected Scottish Parliament and it's ability to make it's own decisions on devolved matters. @scotgov will defend the legislation & stand up for Scotland’s Parliament. If this Westminster veto succeeds, it will be first of many.

£600 a year across six sites is a peppercorn rent: a small amount that is legally required to create a lease and therefore give the RNLI tenants’ rights worth way more than £600. King Charles isn’t literally giving it away to the RNLI - His Majesty is doing far better than that.
King Charles charges this RNLI lifeboat station to launch its boat because he owns the beach. And they’re not the only charity he’s rinsing. (Location: Sennen Cove, Cornwall)

Wow, Conservative-run Wandsworth spends ONE SIXTH as much on publicity as Labour-run Camden: £0.2m a year, while Camden spends £1.3m. No wonder Wandsworth has the UK's lowest council tax. Thanks to Labour MP Rosena Allin-Khan for highlighting the profligacy of Labour councils!.
Over the last decade, Wandsworth Conservative Council has spent over £2million on publicity, an FOI has revealed. That's the equivalent of 870,000 free school meals. Pass it on.

The last time UK power stations burned a single kilo of coal was Thursday. The 82 hours since is the longest spell without coal since the Industrial Revolution. Thanks to the phase-out of coal, since 2010, the UK’s CO2 emissions have fallen by more than any other major country.
UK National Grid: #Coal is currently generating 0.00GW (0.00%) out of a total of 26.12GW.Continuous hours without coal: 82.

Kensington was won by a hardcore Corbynista MP, Emma Dent Coad, by 20 votes in 2017 - because 2,000 Conservatives thought it was safe to vote Lib Dem. The only way to stop Corbyn taking over our country is to vote Conservative. Well said, @GregHands. 👏

Hey @BBCNews - a bit of a weird decision not to feature the UK's lowest unemployment in 45 years and fastest wage growth in over a decade ANYWHERE on your homepage. As much as a curfew for cats and Watford FC's tweets are important, I think you've missed the day's biggest story.

That’ll teach AstraZeneca not to manufacture a life-saving drug without making a profit itself. Thanks to the EU, no pharmaceutical company will do anything as charitable ever again.
The European Commission is expected to announce it will sue AstraZeneca over delays and shortfalls in its vaccine delivery. Now nearly all EU members, including those that had expressed some reservations, have said they back the lawsuit.

Guyana has a fast-growing economy because it found billions of barrels of oil offshore in 2015 and decided to drill for it. That's the exact opposite of Labour's policy of impoverishing the UK by ending oil production.
As the son of Guyanese parents, it was a huge honour to be back in Guyana as the UK’s Foreign Secretary. This is the fastest growing economy in the world, and I’m determined for us to grow more together. Thank you @PresidentAliGY for the warm welcome yesterday.

You simply can’t generate *60%* of GDP from taxes. No country on Earth raises more than 46% - while the OECD average is 34%. So it’s not tax rises that are needed. It’s 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 - more tax is the last thing we need.
Remarkable graph on spending outstripping revenue from the new OBR report. Reality: taxes will need to rise significantly over the coming decades.

I support assisted dying in principle. I never ever thought I’d oppose a Bill that legalised it. But the Assisted Dying Bill’s *author* says it should allow the NHS to kill people because they’d been persuaded they’d become a burden on the NHS. That is so utterly unconscionable.
