We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of the Reitter family. Our school community is very close and this tragedy is felt by all. Counselors and support staff are at the schools that Gabe and Grace attended. The Reitter family is in our thoughts and hearts.

We are pleased to announce that the district has secured Sunday, July 19, 2020 for all four high school graduation ceremonies to be held at the Schottenstein Center. This will become the graduation date should we need to reschedule the original May 17 date

Today we announced the Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year from the 2018-2019 school year. Congrats to OOMS teacher Shane Shoaf and OLHS custodian Robert Bell! Sadly, Mr. Bell passed away last school year. His daughter Amber accepted the award on his behalf.

Congrats to OLSD bus driver Kevin Ball for capturing 1st place at the regional School Bus Driver Safety Road-E-O competition. School bus drivers participate in the competition to test and increase their operational and safety skills. Now, Kevin's heading to the state competition.

Today is School Lunch Hero Day and we could not be more proud of our food service heroes at Olentangy Schools! Throughout the COVID-19 closure, our food service heroes have distributed over 30,000 lunches and over 30,000 breakfasts, ensuring students have access to healthy meals!
We are the FIRST public school district in the nation to have an Orton-Gillingham accredited training program. Orton-Gillingham is a structured multi-sensory language approach for students identified with dyslexia and is a powerful tool to achieve maximum learning.
