because the interest of attackers in these circumstances is to obtain sensitive data (passwords, financial data, card details, etc.) which are then used to extract money from your accounts

- Whenever in doubt, better ask, ask for details from relevant entities, ask for help from specialized people, otherwise, you risk getting into much bigger problems

The lesson we are left with from this post: - Never access links received in email, or SMS messages without being 200% sure of their authenticity.

- I don't have voicemail/voicemail enabled - The URL in the message also doesn't seem valid, I never checked voicemail when it was active using addresses that start with names of foreign people or academic institutions as shown in the two attached pictures.

- the message seems to come from a phone number that is not related to our mobile phone companies. ( in general informative SMS of this kind contain explicitly the name of the company instead of the phone number, I have attached a legitimate example)
