Yet, one issue stands out: NFT projects on Abstract are struggling to succeed. Since mainnet launch, projects have been minting, but none have achieved notable success. Let’s break down why this is happening and what can change:👇 1⃣ A Bad Start Sets the Tone Early projects like @AbstractHotDogs & @pengztracted minted at mainnet launch but failed instantly, dropping below mint price. This set a negative precedent for Abstract NFTs, creating a domino effect - every new project struggles to gain traction because expectations are already low. 2️⃣ Too Many Grifters & Larp Projects Every chain has bad actors, but on Abstract, larp projects (fake/hyped-up projects with no real value) outnumber legit ones by a wide margin. So far, 95% of NFT launches on Abstract have been low-effort, unsustainable, or outright cash grabs. This erodes trust and keeps real investors away. 3️⃣ Lack of Profits → Lack of Interest At the end of the day, NFT collectors want to make money. @davidonchainx Beneficial for ‘influencers’ without too much work. Small accounts who are trying know that it’s super hard. I’ve come across creators who post ‘intriguing’ questions, because that seems to do the trick to get comments, but they don’t bother replying to even a few lol.
