The #Budget24 Fuel duty freeze and £500 million uplift in funding to fix local roads in the next financial year, is welcome news - though investment in tackling potholes and fixing roads will need to grow in future years if the problem is to be fully resolved #PotholePartnership

The £500 million uplift in funding to fix local roads in the next financial year is wecome news for riders, representing a solid starting place for tackling this major safety issue.
Pothole Partnership (AA, British Cycling, National Motorcyclists Council, JCB): We welcome extra funding as potholes place real safety hazards for those of two wheels or two feet, and expensive damage. Must be ring-fenced with an emphasis on innovation and more permanent preventative maintenance.
