First degree is complicated. Premeditated in this case meaning the cop planned to kill him before he even arrested him. That's very hard to prove. Its one of the reasons why George Zimmerman never got convicted (among others). 2nd degree can carry a life sentence without parole.

Issue isn't insurance, as many in the comments seem to think. She is a poor candidate from her COVID and is unlikely to survive transplant surgery, let alone long term with COVID. Lungs are hard to come by and they are prioritized to likely survivors.

Temple isn't giving up football to "save" basketball. One competent head coach is what the Owls need and they can get 35k in the Linc or more depending on the opponent (think Oklahoma). No chance the admin will leave the AAC deal and the potential this program has.
