Opinion: Ojai City Council members turn their backs on their own "If you are thinking of running for Ojai City Council, it is time to add two more items to your pre-campaign checklist. First, make sure your assets are in a trust or LLC and secure $400,000 in funds to combat politically motivated lawsuits that may be launched against you while in office. How did we get here?" @LRearwin via @OVN

OPINION | "So, “what’s in a name”? A lot, especially for very young people. When this name is Satan, and it is removed from its original meaning and playfully associated with all the goodness in the world, this is called a deception. A deception that is directed at those among us who are the least able to spot (let alone challenge) it." — Fr. Jacques-Jude Lépine, Ph.D., archpriest at St. Barbara Orthodox Monastery, Upper Ojai Valley.
