Even look at the Gonzaga women. Beat Stanford, Cal, Utah, and Arizona (and lost to WSU in OT), hosted in the NCAA tournament, and made the Sweet 16.
Women are clearly much more hung up on conference than the men are. Not like they were getting much exposure in the Pac-12.
Here's how it would have looked like. Look at Gonzaga Men, or UConn Women/Men. It would have looked like that. Rueck would have loaded up on OCC "Power5" teams. Would have gotten everyone's best shot in WCC. And would have been a Top 5 team and had a chance to win it all.
