The mission of @OhioC2C, an @OhioOOD program, is to support students with disabilities through their higher education & career development journey. This program continues to create opportunities for students with disabilities to reach their full potential.

Whether you're a student, a family member, or a professional in the field, Ohio C2C is ready to support you as we come together to create pathways for success for students with disabilities across the state. At @OhioOOD, older Ohioans who are blind or have low vision can find independence and improve their quality of life through specialized tools, training, and personalized support.

The universal changing tables unveiled at the 1-71 rest areas in Jeffersonville earlier this month highlight the ongoing commitment of the partnership between @GovMikeDeWine, @OhioOOD, @DODDohio, @ODOT_Statewide, and @Dignity_in_OH to make Ohio a leader in accessibility!
Earlier this month, @GovMikeDeWine, @DODDohio Director Kim Hauck, and @ODOT_Statewide Director Pamela Boratyn unveiled the first of 29 planned universal changing stations at Ohio rest areas. Located at the newly redesigned I-71 rest areas in Jeffersonville, the universal changing stations are part of a family restroom, and include an adjustable table in a clean, safe, and private area. The tables are available to people regardless of height, weight, or mobility level, and are often used by people who assist individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. On the 6th anniversary of @GovMikeDeWine’s Executive Order 2019-03D, @OhioOOD remains dedicated to supporting employment resources and opportunities for Ohioans with disabilities.
Moments after taking office on January 14, 2019, @GovMikeDeWine signed executive order 2019-03D, establishing Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State and Model Employer of Individuals with Disabilities. This order requires all state agencies to increase recruitment, hiring, and advancement of people with disabilities, ensuring Ohio is an inclusive and welcoming place where everyone – including individuals with disabilities – can join in and make a difference in their lives and communities. ICYMI: November 18-22 marked the 10th anniversary of #NationalApprenticeshipWeek! OOD participants, partners, and staff came together for multiple events, including: ✔️A Career and Resource Fair held in Toledo ✔️An Apprenticeship Information Session for employers featuring representatives from @apprenticeohio and @LtGovHusted's office ✔️ A webinar which attracted 143 employers, "Leading Effective Self-Identification Strategies" And more!
