In dokkan world's showcase he took double digits from broly's Super Attack even before getting his defensive buff so i don't really think that's an issue

Goku took a straight death beam to the face and took basically 0 damage (Frieza destroyed namek with no effort and just a normal ki blast), Luffy can't hurt Goku + the haki rules only work when it's a fight between 2 one piece characters
