Sorry for the late alert.
Old Bridge, I received this from a heartbroken parent, spouse, and community member. I was asked to share ASAP. 🙏🏻PLEASE be respectful. I did alter the pronouns to protect identity. Be good to one another and God Bless Us.
My latest winter weather report was pretty convincing for snow totals & possible down power lines from heavy snow. However, to be sure I went to my most reliable winter weather prediction system. NO MILK, NO SCHOOL. OBTPS will be closed Monday 3/4/19. Be safe OB!
Proud of our student organizers & our community for championing a rally for change to end racism in the shadow of the murder of

& countless others. The speakers were poignant & powerful! The event spread peace & love. FYI: The venue was left pristine

❤️OB.
Due to a presumptive positive COVID-19 event in district involving a parent & child and out of an abundance of caution we will be closing all Old Bridge Schools on Friday, March 13, & Monday, March 16. Students please do not rejoice in this tweet, peoples health are a concern. TY
Opening Day.

is retired for Zach Attianese and his father Jude. South Brunswick nothing but respect for your team & coaches. Fans remember what’s important, not the called balls & strikes...getting to see your child play a game they love just one more time. All that matters.
This is the stuff that makes a great community! We will get through this through consistent kindness and support. Please don’t waste energy with negativity. It will drain your immunity. Love you all
@GiusseppesPizza
This nor’easter has left its mark! I just spoke to township officials who have confirmed OB is riddled with down trees, low hanging wires, floods, and power outages. To be safe for all students and staff, OB Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, March 8, 2018.
No matter what candidates you supported, it is a momentous time in history for Old Bridge as we proudly congratulate 1st Second Gentlemen
@DouglasEmhoff
A Cedar Ridge HS Alumnus & former OB resident. Congratulations to you &
@KamalaHarris
🇺🇸 God Bless America!
After a discussion with Township officials, there are still too many hazardous conditions to open school tomorrow. OBTPS will be closed tomorrow Friday, January 5th. Have a good weekend OB ALERT Going out as soon as I can stop shoveling.
A pleasure & honor to visit w. OBHS class of 2020 Valedictorian Jordan Totten. She was presented w. a ceremonial cord & “V” pin bestowed upon the graduate w. the highest GPA of the graduating class. Jordan is a 3 sport athlete continuing her studies at Georgia Tech.
@FazioSally
I sit in the back of the classroom quietly observing a fantastic 5th grade teacher lesson. Boy next to me leans in and whispers “Aren’t you a weatherman?” 🙄

The OB Board of Education is happy to announce that due to efficiencies in various areas, the district WILL be able to continue after school transportation services for secondary academic, co-curricular, & athletics programs for 19-20. TY to all those who asked us to find a way!
Hello OB! At a minimum there will be a 2 hour delay. However, I am waiting for a snowfall total and timing update. Takes about 7 hours to clear all school properties. Expect an update before the 9 pm hour.
Tomorrow’s nor’easter is terribly unpredictable. So much so, that the Gov. has issued a STATE OF EMERGENCY. Even an early dismissal would send home the elementary schools during peak wind/snow hours. Therefore, OBTPS will be closed tomorrow.
7 days in OB. 3 families devastated by alcohol & drug abuse. Mothers won’t see their sons, parents won’t see a daughter, sisters won’t see their sister, & a baby won’t see her father. What will we do different in the future? I don’t know friends, are you as angry as me?
Today we lost the “Voice of OB”. The most gentle of men who was as generous as he was kind. He gave much to youth, HS, & collegiate sports. Only moments before I learned of Ron Mazzola’s passing, I was thinking of him as was looking at a trophy he made for my son. Bless you Ron.
As an Old Bridge community educator, my heart is broken for this beautiful family. As a parent, I am devastated not knowing how I would face a life of tomorrows without my child. I pray this is a wake up call to many.
As I read the morning paper, my son asked “Was this another shooting or the same one?” God forbid this is the future we promise our children! We can’t place armed officers in every school/church/business. If you are in office for years w/o change on this topic PLEASE STEP ASIDE.
Somehow seeing school buses on campus today brings back some semblance of normalcy. Thank you to all the Transportation, food-service, and volunteer workers that are making these meal deliveries possible.🙏🏻

The pending storm has the promise of being the most devastating of the season w/ too many hazards to list. Regretfully, tomorrow 3/21 OB Schools will be closed. This impacts the spring break calendar; making April 5th and 6th school days. Thanks Brendan OBHS 4 help w weather
I was recently advised that six 7th graders from CSMS found a wallet with substantial cash at the PINK OUT game. They immediately delivered it to our security staff who was able to locate a happy owner. As superintendent, I could not be more proud! Bagel Boy lunch is on me boys!
Old Bridge please take some time to review my collective thoughts on a student led rally to be heard on June 4. (I mistakenly say June 1 in video) These students want to be heard not feared. They are already in fear of the future. via

After meeting with friends & speaking with the Akhtar family this afternoon, we have collaboratively set a memorial in fond remembrance of Aliza Akhtar for 3:30pm Friday, May 31 on the front lawn of the EMGNC. Thank you to all who have worked with us since the tragedy.
OBHS nurse and District Nursing Coodinator, Audrey Baker, was nominated by her peers to be selected as the New Jersey State School Nurse of the Year. Congratulations Mrs. Baker! You are the NJSSNA School Nurse of the YEAR!
Going to try for a delayed opening tomorrow March 22 & reassess in morning. I want to get an instructional day in Thursday but not at the cost of safety. If there is an indication safety will be a concern, schools will close. You should have a plan in place for both situations.
GREETINGS OB! Just a brief update video below. I will announce the winner of the Toilet Paper Palooza Challenge over the weekend. That should give everyone something to look forward to.
It took us until July. However,

Unfortunately, we are all going to find out someday soon that as much as we try to make do with k-12 distance learning; you, me, & even Bill Gates could never develop a program that does for students what teachers do in the classroom. We are about to thank God that we have them!
Hey
@Target
for those of us in education, can we please make it past the 3rd week of July before you crush our summer recess with marble notebook sales? PLEASE!😥
OBTPS makes a donation of much-needed medical supplies to our first responders of this great township. Thank you for all of your efforts to keep us healthy and safe!
Saturday (Sunday depending on weather) will be a BANNER DAY in OB. Look to the sky 11:15-12:30pm for a special message from OBTPS to our students & 2020class. “Keep your head up & look for clouds with the silver lining”. We love you all! Post selfies w/message to
#OBBannerDay
NJ has issued a State Of Emergency starting at 10 pm. The pending winter storm will bring conditions that will impact safety & adequate school staffing. Storm timing not consistent with a delay at OBHS. Therefore OBTPS will be closed due to snow tomorrow 1/7/22.
OBTPS Toilet Paper Palooza Challenge- By 6pm March 20 send me

a photo of your Remote Home Learning Classroom. Most creative and most realistic will each win 2 Large 1Ply Rolls of Government Grade Toilet Paper delivered to your door. Show me what you got OB!
We didn’t even know we were competing; just paying respect to service personnel. However, at the end of the parade the officials said Old Bridge Marching Knights are the Grand Champions of the Pearl Harbor Day Parade!

Greetings OB! Please see the link below to our weekly update. The information includes phase 2 discussions on the RLP following the governors reminder that ALL NJ schools are closed for the foreseeable future. More information is to come over the weekend.
It’s my honor and humbled privilege to continue to serve this amazing community in the capacity as superintendent. Let’s work together for our children and a promising future.

OBTPS has been committed since the beginning to providing 2020 graduates with an in person ceremony. We knew the guidance would change & we are still waiting for more specific guidance tomorrow from Trenton. Thanks for your patience thus far. More to come...
Congratulations to OBHS teacher Jessica DiMino a nominee for the National Life Group’s LIFE CHANGER of the YEAR. The award goes to K-12 school employees who make a positive difference in the lives of students. Well deserved!

I really love these OBHS Seniors! All the reasons to be down and KEEPING IT POSITIVE for OB. You are never “SOLO” when you walk together forever as KNIGHTS. 💜🖤💜🖤
Proud of my sister & brother-in-law

Kionna Weathers is missing. She is a sixteen year old, black female. 5?4? tall, 115 lbs. last seen in North Brunswick on 5/3/19. Call OBPD 732-721-4000 with info.
A message to OBHS SENIOR KNIGHTS. Dance you armor off tonight. However, be safe and look out for one another. Because the kingdom would not be the same without just one KNIGHT.
You can do this job for a lifetime & NOTHING is as rewarding as a student who completed cancer therapy with promising news & a bell ringing event stop by to share great news. God bless you Bobby & your amazing family. Thanks for the shirt fellow Jedi!

Of all the titles I have ever had, no title has ever made me prouder than when I was called “dad”. Today in OB, we know that no role has ever been more important than that of loving & caring for a child. Always embrace & value that love.
I remember Zach so well from Salk & OBHS. His smile was disarming and always welcome. For him and the other tragic lives cut short way too soon; can we remember we do not know the burdens of another and dedicate at least a day, week, month of just being KIND to one another?
Heartbroken. I cannot believe this young man is gone. He was in my first grade class at Southwood School and we always kept
in touch when I moved to Miller School. He had the biggest smile and heart.
RIP Zach Armangeon OBHS 2014
@OBSupCittadino
Too much snow, too late. Trying to save another day of spring break is not worth the threat to public safety. Township officials report hazardous conditions still exist. Side roads, walks & corners are a mess. OBTPS CLOSED 3/22
4/4 now a school day. Sorry OB RT ALERT
