Did you consider how you managed to be sitting in El Zonte and paying the merchants in bitcoin? Not from.your own perspective but from the merchants’. Think about that for 2 min, then scale it to the entire world.
I am sitting by the beach in El Zonte right now and I’ve been paying for everything using Phoenix, a complete lightning node in an app with self custody. It’s worked flawlessly and, if I needed to, I can move all funds without Phoenix. Please stop pushing people to custodians.
