Looks like I’ll be jumping into Avowed an hour earlier than expected. Heard some concerning things about its playability, and turns out when the game director said it’d be ‘broke on release,’ she wasn’t kidding. Other sources are backing up my suspicions—the game feels pretty mediocre, not really excelling anywhere. It’s not going to be the disaster that Veilguard was, but it might be a whole different kind of frustrating.

Seeing a lot of complaints about the State of Play, but I’m actually kind of into it. Maybe it’s because I don’t follow console stuff that closely, but a ton of new IPs? Yes, please. We’re talking fresh stories that could be a total flop or a hidden gem. I’m especially excited for Tides of Annihilation and The Midnight Walk. But yeah, I get why people are upset—no Bloodborne PC port. Guess we can’t have it all.
