My bane in my early years as an intern in Nigeria were the harsh criticisms I gave myself during the learning stage. Learnt to appreciate the phase and reflect on ways to improve. I think “self-kindness” is not talked about enoug, truly.

This is inspirational.
When I was a first year medical resident, I became a mother.
Right before I delivered, I was the star intern.
But when I came back 4 weeks after giving birth, the Attendings were asking:
