My own assessment of where we currently are is that it is the best we can hope for. If any part of the real economy starts to get hot it would just cripple all the bits we need so we just continue to decline as any +ve intervention makes it worse. The shitshow economic model
Cut taxes? Reduce regulation? Reduce energy prices? Make land available for development? Training? Investment Finance? Empty sound bites?

@katieleeming3 Of course. Years 7&8 not committed to a subject path for exams and have longest time ahead of them. Parents will want their children settled in year 9 before GCSE subject options. All this would be obvious to a 12 or 13 year old child but apparently not the Dept of Education.
