Congratulations to Junior Aiden Hinkle for earning Co-Conference Player of the Year. Hinkle had a .423 AVG, 1.088 OPS, 8 2B, 6 3B, with 26 RBI, 37 runs scored, 12 BB and 15 SB while only striking out 4 times. On the mound, he was 6-2 with 5 CG, a 3.50 ERA in 46 IP with 52 K.

Congratulations to Senior Aiden Hinkle for earning Conference Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. Hinkle led the team with a .435 AVG, 1.173 OPS, 50 H, 14 2B, 31 RBI, 37 runs, 26 BB, and 19 SB. On the mound, he went 4-4 with 52.1 IP, 1.87 ERA, 51 K, and only 17 BB.

Oak Park comes out on the wrong end of an awesome high school baseball game as the Northmen fall 10-9 to Park Hill South. It was an unbelievable team effort from our boys from the first pitch to the last. Our final record is 19-13.

After breaking our career hit record last year as a junior, it was going to be hard to follow that up. He found a way… With two hits Thursday night at St. Pius, Senior Aiden Hinkle broke the single season hit record. Congratulations Hink!

Not enough characters on here for this one… Northmen win 29-18 in 6 innings. Every starter drove in a run. Luke Meredith went 5-6 w/ 7 RBIs. Aiden Hinkle and Charles Bedosky both had 3 hits. Alex Chester, Hinkle, and Meredith all homered. Our record is now 7-7 (1-0 conf.)

Congratulations to Senior Austin Dahlberg for earning All-Conference 1st Team Infielder. Dahlberg had a .407 AVG, 1.023 OPS, 10 2B (team high), 11 BB with 23 RBI, 17 runs scored. He will play baseball at Crowder CC next year.

Northmen throw a combined no hitter to beat Raytown 9-0. Caden Beshears led the way throwing 5 innings and striking out 11. Karl Knaak and Burke Sharpsteen both threw an inning as well. Offensively, Austin Dahlberg Charles Bedosky, and Aiden Hinkle all drove in multiple runs.

Northmen roll in the opener winning 16-0 over Raytown. Kirby Super picked up the win throwing a 5 inning shutout. He also drove in 5 at the plate. Aidan Bearden added 3 hits including 2 doubles. Our offense combined for 8 extra base hits. Northmen start the year 1-0!

The Northmen defeated Park Hill South this afternoon 1-0. A special performance from Caden Beshears led the way as he threw a complete game shutout. Aiden Hinkle scored the lone run after stealing two bases. Our record is now 17-10.

We are saddened to share, last week Oak Park’s first head baseball coach, Jim Derry, passed away at the age of 91. Coach Derry was a part of 3 state championships, 6 conference championships, 7 district championships, and 311 career wins. Our condolences to the Derry family.
