#NetSnippet | Assam Police have summoned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and others in connection with an obscenity case related to their show India's Got Latent. The case, filed on February 10, stems from a complaint by Guwahati resident Alok Boruah, who accused the influencers of engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussions on the show, which he claims harmed public decency and morality. The Guwahati Crime Branch has registered the case under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, the IT Act 2000, the Cinematograph Act 1952, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986. A police team has been dispatched to Mumbai to further investigate the matter. In response to the allegations, comedian Samay Raina, who is also named in the case, has removed all videos of the show from his YouTube channel. He stated on Instagram that his intent was purely to entertain and that he is fully cooperating with the authorities. Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia, who had previously apologized for his comments on the show, acknowledged his lapse in judgment, calling his remarks inappropriate and expressing a commitment to using his platform more responsibly. #YouTubers #RanveerAllahbadia #AshishChanchlani #indiagotlatent #AssamPolice #obscenitycase #Assam #NortheastToday

#NetSnippet | Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has appointed Rajat Patidar as the captain for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The 31-year-old middle-order batter’s appointment was confirmed during an event at the KSCA on Thursday, February 13. Patidar, who made his IPL debut for RCB in 2021, steps into the leadership role following the release of Faf du Plessis, who had captained the team in recent seasons. The 31-year-old will become the eighth player to lead RCB in IPL history. Reflecting on his appointment, Patidar shared, "Last year, Mo Bobat (RCB Director of Cricket) spoke to me about the possibility of captaining. I told him I wanted to first captain my state team before taking the IPL captaincy. From there, I got the hint that I could be considered." Patidar has been an impactful player for RCB, scoring 799 runs in 27 IPL matches at an impressive strike rate of 158.85. He was retained by the franchise for INR 11 Crore ahead of the 2025 season, having made a strong impression after returning to the squad in 2022 as a replacement player, scoring 333 runs, including a century, in just eight innings. RCB’s leadership history includes Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, both of whom guided the team through significant campaigns. Kohli captained RCB from 2012 to 2021, while du Plessis led the team to playoff finishes in 2022 and 2023. RCB’s head coach Andy Flower expressed confidence in Patidar’s leadership qualities, citing his calm demeanor, decision-making ability, and the respect he commands in the dressing room. Flower added, "Rajat’s strength of character and quiet leadership will stand him in good stead." Patidar’s appointment signals a new chapter for RCB as the franchise looks to make a strong impact under his leadership in the 2025 IPL season. #RajatPatidar #captain #RoyalChallengersBangalore #IndianPremierLeague #cricket #Sports #NortheastToday
