@Soulful1865 I really like to know what Cynthia said about African-Americans, Black America and America in general.

@floboflo Isn’t the UAE which Dubai is part of a country where 90% of population are Muslims. You appear to be saying out of the frying pan into the oven!

Really impassioned speech by David Somerset on the 17 years of work on diversifying film canon & championing new audiences to the #BFI. As sadly the organisation is ending its almost 2 decades long #afrocentric film programme African Odysseys today.

A great way to see in 2025 with a month of films celebrating the work of film legend, Sidney Poitier. As a season of the actor & directors work opens tonight with 50s classic Noir thriller, No Way Out at @BFI.

@dieworkwear Pardon me if I missed this. I’m surprised you haven’t mentioned the work of Theodora Van Runkle on 2 of the 60s most stylish films. Namely Bonnie and Clyde and my personal favourite A Thomas Crown Affair.

@bolaagbaje Seems we may have been reading “The Piano Lesson” incorrectly. As according to ScreenRant it’s a Horror film! Who’d have guessed.

@ronkelawal I can’t understand why if they can’t remain they couldn’t find suitable site in Docklands or maybe Barking redevelopment area. What’s worst is the current Smithfield & Billingsgate site will no doubt become office or luxury flats.

@f_a_q Damn, I heard something similar about how they’re dealing with issues around long running Afrocentric film strand, African Odysseys.
