It’s been 58 days since the passage of Hurricane Beryl. The trees that were propped up immediately after have started to flower once more. Some even have fruit already. Love to see it.
The Grenada Robotics Team ranked 35th out of a 191 countries and 2nd in the Caribbean at the 2023 First Global Challenge in Singapore last week. Big up them!!!
@TheDreadEmpress
Because she said it’ll be a good environment to raise children. Yeahhh until the age of 16 or so because like I said the education system (only goes up to HIGH SCHOOL) needs work. And it’s proven FACT children do well in warm environments. Nothing I said was wrong.
The people in the Northern part of mainland Grenada have not been spared by Beryl. Though infrastructure damage is minimal compared to Ivan and the Sister Isles at present. We have still been hit pretty terribly up here, please have some consideration. 🙏🏿
I will forever be impressed with the athletes who partake in the Decathlon.
How do you even prepare yourself physically and mentally to compete in 10 events over 2 days.
At it's very core, Jab is satire. from its name to the act of covering one’s skin in molasses, tar, old engine oil (I'm judging you if you use charcoal).
Plantation owners referred to enslaved Africans as “devils” ironic, yes cause the real “devils” were…. Anyway I digress.
To the locals who want to enjoy a drink at the Spice Market without the additional attitude from your server. Check out Rosie’s.
NB: I was not paid to promote this establishment.
Grenadians why are you making an issue about water and electricity? Do you lot not remember Ivan’s aftermath? Do you not remember how long it took for electricity and water to be restored? Have some consideration for the employees working to get these services restored.
Apparently there’s a malicious group going around breaking people place. I’m waiting patiently for them to try mine. I have 20 years suppressed anger, childhood trauma, heart break, grief and frustration waiting to unleash.
Please try me!
Grenadians were a lot more empathetic after Ivan. I'm starting to realize that was because everyone was affected in some way. This time around people’s ugly selfishness has shown its face.
SpiceMas23 is about to climax. Please be safe. Consume your alcohol in moderation. Don't drink on an empty stomach & drink water in between. If you're driving, don't drink. If you're tired, sleep. Take it easy on the energy drinks. The speed limit is 40MPH for a reason. CAPITAL!
Went up to mountain to drop supplies for my friends working to clear the dam. I’ll say this, when you see a NAWASA employee in the coming weeks, buy them a beer and doh cuss dem.
@NoReplyInRed
I put high school in CAPS because it the last set of grades that given the all round education of math,English, science etc. The “colleges” given in the Caribbean are mainly medical schools. And that was the oppressors doing.
As the rest of mainland Grenada goes about their daily lives this week, lending support, aid and encouragement to our brethren in Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and the Grenadines affected by Breyl. Please don’t forget to extend a little grace to those of use in the North🙏🏿
Just as how Patois died because 1 generation didn’t pass it along. Similarly, the involvement of Youth in Agriculture is dwindling because 1 generation wanted to see their kids in Shirt & Tie holding a briefcase rather than stained trousers and boats, holding a hoe.
RIP Lew Smith
Lew Smith was the first journalist to interview Revolutionary Prime Minister Maurice Bishop within hours of the armed overthrow of the Eric Gairy government on March 13, 1979.
Thankful for life and my family are ok.
My assessment of St. Patrick, we will be without electricity for a while. Water might also be the same. I know the workers of both industries have their work cut out for them and they will do their best. Farmers, we have our work cut out.

Before 1951, to vote here, one had to own property of a certain value or earn an annual income of a specified amount to qualify for the right to vote. It was Sir Eric M. Gairy who championed and eventually brought in Adult Suffrage.
I stand by my opinion, if Miss St. Patrick's video could not be posted because it didn't “meet the exceptional standards” then all videos should have been pulled. Let's not act like ALL 6 videos uploaded were “exceptional”
Some of unno inconsiderate bad. I tell you I’m trying to sort out myself whilst at the same time putting a relief package together for people in PM and your response to that is to ask me about place to stay for Spicemas. My problem is I don’t cuss.
I’m grateful that our infrastructural damage on mainland has been minimal. My heart goes out to C’cou, PM and the Grenadine Islands.
Plus my fellow farmers…sigh. Watching years of hard work flat on the ground is beyond depressing.
Most fruits, once bitten are not longer good for human consumption. Soursop fruit however, even after it’s bitten, once not yet harvested will heal it’s self and continue to grow/mature until ready to be harvested. Unsightly? Yes but will remain good for consumption.
I think one of the biggest successes of Spicemas ‘24 was the music. Our artiste did not disappoint in that area. The quality and quantity of the music continue to improve. Love that for us.

Kimani is a great individual and I’m not taking anything from him. HOWEVER, there is one employee in his establishment that doesn’t adhere to standard he may expect when it comes to catering to Locals. I know for a fact I am not alone in this situation.
If you know Grand Anse beach, you know Esthers Bar! Located within the Grand Anse Craft & Spice Market.
Esthers has solidified its status as a must-visit destination for a wide variety of cocktails and beverages, catering to both locals and visitors.

Was it necessary for our government to spend $2.2 million to purchase new vehicles to aid with relief at this time?
Anyways, peep these things for those of you intending to build in the future.
We had an extremely harsh dry season back in ‘09-’10 and the water company had similar challenges. You mean to tell me in 14 years they did nothing to improve their system?
Rain falls, water goes for 79 days
Sun shines, water goes for 80 days
We deserve better
Electricity is being restored to St. Andrew slowing. However, once you leave Tivoli it’s completely dark all through St. Patrick.
Parts of St. Patrick has water (villages supplied by Peggy’s Whim Dam) grateful for that.
Al’yuh, clap a little louder for Miss St. Patrick please. Make a little more noise for her. Even if her performance isn’t “exceptional” show her a little support. Ah beg
Seeing everyone posting their stories from such resort, cracks me up. We will never stand on business for anything. 4 years ago same people where protesting cause mangroove and birding sites was being destroyed. Today however, is mimoas and massages at the resort, so all is well.
Can we really be upset that local songs are hardly being played when most of the DJs not local? Them gonna play the 3 songs heard whilst in Immigration on the airport. After that, they’ll switch to what they know.
There was a time the song that won Soca was Road March contender
Three companies I will never slander again; Digicel, NAWASA and Grenlec. But you see that Blue company… ah dragging them how old woman does drag bam bam gi people.
Lavaman and Terra De Governor deserve their flowers. I can't think of any other local soca artiste (last 20 years) with; a more extensive discography, consistency and dropping multiple songs each year.
Can we stop recording people without their consent and posting it on social media? Especially when they’re having an embarrassing moment?
Can we also stop posting pictures of individuals at the time of their death?
When we’re having some of these conversations, we really do need to check our privilege. For many people, they were already struggling to make ends meet. Living pay cheque to pay cheque. This has now set them back even further.
Did you know Grenada has the oldest water-propelled distillery still in operation in the Caribbean? River Antoine Royal Rum Distillery located in River Antoine, St. Patrick.
Grenada has been best known for being the first in this hemisphere to export spices (Nutmeg) and we had more spices per square mile than any other Island. earning us the moniker the “Isle of Spice”. At least we used to be, nowadays we’re “Pure Grenada” 🙃
