@Bubblebathgirl How despicable, stupid, inane, crass, foolish, and retarded do the Democrats need to prove themselves to be? If they're screaming and stomping now, wait and see what happens when their other sources of graft are revealed. I bet ActBlue will be a doozy.

The first breath of air outside my front door was enough to tell me that this day was meant for winter. The kind of day Robert Frost must have had in mind when he said you can’t have too much of it. The sky was a cloudless blue, and the sun shone in a way that would make you believe in warmth, though the thermometer told a different story. For the first time this season, I strapped on my snowshoes, feeling the satisfying tug of the bindings, and set off toward the trail, the snow creaking underfoot in that particular way it does when the cold is deep and honest. Weeks of steady snowfall, not one dramatic event, had created perfect trekking. No crust, no ice, just soft, packed layers that cradled my snowshoes, assuring each step. The woods were quiet except for the occasional snow-laden branch shifting. A few chickadees flitted in the bare branches, their presence a small reminder that life persists in winter. My breath rose in faint clouds as I moved steadily, my steps second nature. The silence and crisp air made me feel integral to the season. There was something in the silence, in the crispness of the air, which made me feel not just like a visitor to this season, but a part of it. By the time I turned back toward home, the afternoon light had started to thin, lengthening the blue shadows on the snow. I paused for a moment, letting the quiet settle around me, taking in the deep stillness of the world in winter. While some long for summer and the return of green, I've always appreciated winter's beauty. Today was one of those days.
