.@DDOTDC has started construction on Florida Avenue NE (between 2nd Street NE and H Street NE). This project is being done to add streetscape and operational enhancements to improve safety and access for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit along this corridor.

The #NoMa BID has continued to advocate for a 3rd entrance to the Metro station to match the growth & development east of the station near Union Market. D.C. Council has budgeted $5 million for design this year & $45 million for construction w/ completion by 2028.
With the region’s population growth doubling the national average in the past decade, the demand on certain Metro stations is expected to grow in the future. Places like NoMa, Crystal City, Ballston, and more are looking to add more entrances to stations.
