FACT CHECK: A reporter contacted the caller who reported the man with a goose in Springfield.
The caller says he has never seen anything similar to the stories being told about pets, he just thought the man needed a permit because it was outside of goose hunting season.
"Now that the media are all in Springfield, I don't want no part in this," Toby told me. "I'm just telling people what I saw, and being a good citizen...If you [hunt geese] you need a permit."
