John Phiri travelled around rural Zambia as a child because of his father’s work. He saw the challenges people faced in these areas, and he vowed to make a change. To that end, he studied forestry and worked in the non-profit sector in various rural areas across Zambia. His journey eventually led him to Musele Chiefdom in North-Western Province, where he worked with the West Lunga Conservation Project and was pivotal in establishing Kafunfula Community Camp. This unique establishment is the first community-run tourism camp in Zambia and the subject of our latest documentary. Check out the full documentary here:
