We spent the weekend in the hospital with our 3YO with a frightening case of pneumonia. She is now home and on the mend.
Health, happiness and love. These are what matter the most. On this Nowruz, I am so grateful to be celebrating at home with family.

I just received a rejection from a law journal for an article that I submitted to them in 2019. Surely, that’s a new record?

AI voice scams have become increasingly common, extremely accessible, and terrifyingly realistic. The best way to protect yourself against scammers posing as your loved ones may be to establish an offline "code word" to prove you're not being duped:

Apple's Vision Pro infers some mental states. It’s not “raw” brainwave data, but it still impacts mental privacy, and freedom of thought.

My view on the coming age of wearable brain computer tech:
1) I advocate a right to

over our brains and mental experiences
2) I want to help people understand what’s already possible & coming
3) Neurotech can benefit and/or harm humanity - let’s choose well.
A typical lung transplant is HIGHLY invasive with "a 30 cm incision made in the chest and multiple ribs broken." 🫁
Using a 4 arm robot, surgeons succesfuly performed a FULLY robotic lung transplant; this time "w/out having to break any bones." 😦
