"fast-tracked by the feds, who more or less bankrolled Sydney's Metro."
@KosSamaras The SRL would be easier to swallow and would be completed faster if funding was fast-tracked by the feds, who more or less bankrolled Sydney's Metro. But successive fed governments on both sides have proved time and again that Victorian infrastructure isn't a priority.

@7NewsSydney @AngeliqueOpie7 Reminder, North Sydney council changed definitions to make the books look worse then they actually are.
North Sydney Council look to be cooking the books. They changed a definition and increased their cost of bringing poor infrastructure assets to satisfactory standard by $100m.

@declanmartin75 I had a look. In 2014 there were 4,417 Australia Post retail outlets. In 2024 that number was 4,198.

@PhilMickelson Maybe you should stick to golf or at least understand what you are talking about first.
The money is not meant for disaster relief and is a completely separate program Congress tasked FEMA to manage in partnership with the CBP. Liar, liar pants on fire.

The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the Presidentβs executive order. That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals! A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.

@MollyJongFast The President can simply pardon himself and pardon his underlings. What actual recourse do the courts have in this scenario? Itβs really up to Congress.

@FaggedNoumena @LinkofSunshine Aged pension is welfare. Granted, that's probably too complicated for most Americans.
