Hollywood movies are basically unwatchable nowadays. I just saw a film in theatres titled “Flight Risk.” It had Mark Wahlberg, looked interesting. Total crap. Lead protagonist was a hyper-competent feminist girl boss. The three white men in the film were all intentionally written to look as bad as possible — one was an incompetent bumbling retard, another was a creepy rapist murderer, and the other is a corrupt government official. Halfway through the movie, the female lead (a white woman) calls an Indian guy for instructions on how to pilot an aircraft she’s suddenly been forced to fly. The Indian guy drops some extremely cringe and corny pickup lines on her, and she basically swoons and falls in love with him. It’s ridiculous. I was laughing at how stupid and intentionally subversive the script was. It’s all so typical.
