I have a strong rule about story telling when I’m writing, I’m never satisfied with that I’ve written until I’ve made myself cry. If my eyes aren’t watering, then it’s not there for me.

@HardNameDoodlin That’s dope! Certain dojos do sparring after class. We use foam swords for that though. It still hurts! I’ve seen some students use boken for sparring too but it really depends on what they’re doing.

@HardNameDoodlin That said, if you can AVOID using the sword at all, that’s also good. There is a reverence for the life in my dojo because we are learning ways you can take it. Life is sacred, the blade is sacred and both command respect….I’m rambling. Hahaha
