15 votes. Absolutely devastated to have lost in Hendon by such a small margin. Whilst the loss is painful, we should be incredibly proud of the result in Hendon. We defied the odds and overcame the huge Labour national swing, which sadly so many Conservatives became victim to across the country. In Hendon, we proved the pollsters wrong and held on to our vote share.  This was only possible due to all the hardworking volunteers. I love you all and I am indebted to all the time and effort you put into our campaign.  I’ve loved every minute of the campaign and it’s been a pleasure to meet so many amazing people along the way and to hear their stories.  I was striving to be a strong voice for our local community in Parliament, from addressing concerns over the Broadwalk development, trying to revitalise Mill Hill Broadway, or holding TFL to account over the impact over the closure of Colindale station. I’m grateful to all the voters who put their trust in me and the Conservatives in Hendon to deliver for the local community. I’m sorry we couldn’t quite get it over the line. We remain concerned at the number of postal votes that did not reach voters which would have made a crucial difference in Hendon. We are still awaiting answers. In the meantime, we will continue to hold Labour to account on all the key local issues we campaigned on and come back stronger.  We will be back.
