The Chiefs need to embrace CEH as being primarily a receiving back. Use him like a Nyheim Hines/JD McKissic type. Let McKinnon and Pacheco pound the rock.
Some camp thoughts from today:
-Justin Watson looking explosive
- Frank Clark looks leaner, seems to have a little more pep in his step.
- Pacheco consistently running with the 2’s and sporadically mixed in with the 1’s.
- Humphrey was a brick wall in O line v D line drills.
I’m going to give out some imaginary 2022 Chiefs training camp awards.
MVP- JuJu Smith-Schuster
Best rookie- Isiah Pacheco
Biggest leap from last year- Willie Gay
Breakout player- Justin Watson
Letdown- Ronald Jones
Eagles’ offensive line is great no doubt, but an interesting little nugget is it was the most penalized unit in the NFL. If the Chiefs can bring the heat they could draw multiple flags.

Patrick Peterson will serve a 4 game suspension then return end of September. Expect his name prominent in trade rumors.
#Chiefs
will be the major suitor. Expect all contenders to make calls.
I’m locking it in, Chiefs are going 14-2. One loss to the Broncos in Denver on a short week. The other in a meaningless Week 17 matchup against a desperate Chargers team. Chiefs over the Rams in the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs beating the Patriots on opening night last year was one of the most satisfying Chiefs victories of my lifetime. I didn’t think they had a shot in hell. Kareem Hunt exploding in his debut was so much fun.
Nate Burleson said the Titans beating the Patriots was the biggest win in history and he’d take Tannehill over Mahomes, Watson and Lamar to start a game this week. No more sports shows for me this week.
Jody Fortson and Rashad Fenton definitely did not lose their spots due to injury. Fortson saw plenty of action with the 1’s and Fenton was exclusively with the 1’s. Fenton looked solid today.
The practice squad is set minus Bailey Zappe, who will be official once he arrives in K.C., passes his physical & signs. Some notes:
-The Cornell Powell era is over.
-The LRZ experiment is over.
-Chiefs are very deep at WR & TE

Darwin Thompson is making this team. Obviously Damien Williams is the starter. The battle is between Darrel Williams and Carlos Hyde. If anyone can tell me what Hyde brings to the table that Darrel doesn’t besides “being a veteran”, I’m all ears.
The Chiefs led the NFL in sacks last season and finished 31st in overall defense. Couldn't touch Brady in the AFCCG. They still have Chris Jones who led the team in sacks last season. Free agency hasn't officially begun yet and there's still the draft. It's going to be all good.
Redzone offense is certainly something that the Chiefs should strive to improve, but not turning the ball over is the top priority. If that means sometimes being conservative and not forcing something, so be it. Don’t give Buffalo extra possessions and good field position.
