Are you aged 18-25 and living/working/studying in Newcastle? This could be for you.
18-25 year olds who live, work or study in Newcastle can apply for the FREE Newcastle Legacy programme (5-6 Mar, 30 minute online intro). A great opportunity to network, learn, and build confidence and skills and make your voice heard. @InformationNow1

@fairyblood81 Absolutely not ! Newcastle has a lot of work to do to improve on recycling rates, reducing waste and reducing litter. I would not support reduced bin collections here and there has been no suggestion to do so. I hope that reassures you.

The waiting times for children’s mental health services are unacceptable. This example from @CalumMillerLD’s constituent shows how much more must be done to improve communication and care at the point of need. We have to stand together across parties to change this.
I raised Agnes’s story with the Prime Minister because no child should have to wait *five* years for critical mental health support. The crisis in funding and resourcing for mental health services is putting huge pressure on families. The Government urgently address this.

@theradgeygadgey @carla_denyer @TheGreenParty The more we become dependent on the likes of Amazon, the more we’ll struggle to breathe new life into our high streets. We need leadership across the globe and we need politicians willing to speak out for a fairer distribution of wealth. Britain could be leading on this argument

@theradgeygadgey @carla_denyer But you agree wealth inequality poses a problem? @TheGreenParty gets addressing this is complex but other parties fail us by not naming the issue. Wealth taxes are part of the reforms needed to raise living standards, along with e.g. a stronger local economy & a circular economy

@theradgeygadgey @carla_denyer Sure but the issue is that income from work is taxed more than income from wealth, that’s why it’s true to say the mega wealthy are often paying lower rates proportionally - that’s what skewing the system and hurting public services.
