I've always found "coming out" as a furry to be very strange and never really understood it. At the end of the day, it's just a hobby. I think for many, however, the furry fandom goes hand-in-hand with LGBTQIA+, in the sense that a majority of us are of various queer identities.

Passing guilt like this onto those who struggle with suicidal tendencies for wanting an end to their pain is all too recursive of the stigma that surrounds mental health as a whole. The “hard truth” is that everyone simply ignores the signs of suicide until it’s too late.
A gentle reminder of a hard truth
Taking your own life does not end your pain. It only passes it to someone else.
If you’re suffering, you don’t have to suffer alone. There are appropriate ways to reach out to friends and family about these heavy topics.
