2021 Double Top Resistance: The Key to Alt Season Many are wondering why alt season hasn’t arrived yet. While numerous narratives attempt to explain the delay, one crucial yet often overlooked factor lies in the technicals of high time frame charts. The weekly charts of $OTHERS, $TOTAL3, $ETH, and $BTC highlight a major resistance level formed by the 2021 double top cycle peak. Bitcoin, as always, led the way, finally breaking through this resistance after an 8 month battle. However, altcoins are still struggling at this key level, leading to their underperformance against BTC over the past couple of months—despite this period historically favoring alts in previous cycles. This resistance is the primary reason for the lag. Once BTC decisively breaks out for its next leg up, altcoins—including ETH—should finally overcome their 2021 double top resistance, triggering a massive alt season.
