Langston Scales Carries NewRock Prep (Red) To Victory Over Skill Factory By NEWROCKPREPTV A strong performance from Langston Scales, helped NewRock Prep (Red) defeat Skill Factory, 82-49, on Saturday. Scales scored 25 points to lead the way for NewRock Prep (Red). Leading 26-17, NewRock Prep (Red) went on a 9-point run to pull further away. Leading 35-19, NewRock Prep (Red) went on a 14-2 run to pull further away. NewRock Prep (Red) got out to a 49-22 lead at halftime before closing out the victory. Scales scored 14 points in the first half as NewRock Prep (Red) outscored Skill Factory 49-22. NewRock Prep (Red) scored at will in the paint. They went 24-48 on twos. Robert Mack and Scales each hit multiple three-pointers for NewRock Prep (Red). The team shot 9-20 (45%) from beyond the arc. NewRock Prep (Red) rebounded the ball well, collecting 48 rebounds. Taurean Williams Jr led the team with seven rebounds. NewRock Prep (Red) passed the ball well with 27 assists on 33 made baskets. Chaste Appling led the team with nine assists. Also contributing for NewRock Prep (Red) were Mack (14 points), Robert Armstrong (10 points), Marion James (8 points), Williams Jr (8 points), Elie Sylvester (8 points), Appling (7 points), and PJ Billings (2 points). Short handed NewRock Prep Fall To North Florida Prep In Back-And-Forth Contest By NewRockPrepTv NewRock Prep (Red) fell to Norrth Florida Prep, 84-76, in a back-and-forth game on Monday. There were seven lead changes in the game. NewRock Prep (Red)’s Ethan Walker put up scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the losing effort. Trailing 44-36, Norrth Florida Prep went on a 12-1 run to take the lead. Trailing 48-45, NewRock Prep (Red) went on a 9-point run to take the lead. NewRock Prep (Red) had a strong first half, leading 45-43 at halftime, but couldn’t keep up the pace and ultimately fell in the end. Robert Mack poured in 13 points in the first half as NewRock Prep (Red) outscored Norrth Florida Prep 45-43. Mack led NewRock Prep (Red) in scoring with 25 points. NewRock Prep (Red) shot well from distance, going 7-20 from three. Taurean Williams Jr made five of 11 free throws, and NewRock Prep (Red) attempted 33. NewRock Prep (Red) played stifling defense, blocking seven shots and grabbing 10 steals. NewRock Prep (Red) rebounded the ball well, collecting 47 rebounds. Walker led the team with 17 rebounds. Mack knocked down five shots from beyond the arc for NewRock Prep (Red). Multiple Players Team Up To Lead NewRock Prep Past TLAP By NEWROCKPREPTV Robert Mack and Chaste Appling teamed up to lead NewRock Prep (Red) past TLAP, 53-41, on Saturday. Appling scored 13 points and gave out 10 assists while Mack scored 14 points . The game was intense from start to finish, with seven lead changes. NewRock Prep (Red) came out on top thanks to a free throw by Appling. Trailing 16-13, NewRock Prep (Red) went on an 11-2 run to take the lead. NewRock Prep (Red) had a strong first half, leading 29-27 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory. Leading 43-40, NewRock Prep (Red) went on a 9-point run to pull further away. NewRock Prep (Red) had 21 rebounds in the second half, as they outscored TLAP 24-14. Mack scored 14 points to lead NewRock Prep (Red). Amadou Balde and Mack each hit multiple three-pointers for NewRock Prep (Red). The team shot 6-11 (55%) from beyond the arc. NewRock Prep (Red) pressured the ball all game, collecting 10 steals. Mack led the team with three steals. Elie Sylvester and Malachi Toby each collected seven rebounds to lead NewRock Prep (Red) on the glass. Thomas University Secures Win In Back-And-Forth Battle Against NewRock Prep By NewRock PrepTv NewRock Prep lost to Thomas University, 87-81, in a game featuring 13 lead changes on Monday. Robert Mack had a strong outing with 27 points for NewRock Prep in the loss. Trailing 17-13, Thomas University went on a 17-point run to take the lead.
