Good news! π₯³ The paper from my PhD is published. This thread will document the paper's key findings about changes in brain structure and function with seizure remission in self-limiting epilepsy with centro-temporal spikes (SeLECTs). 1/23 @EpilepsyBehavi1

@EEGHub @SheikhISMD @RoohiKatyal @namesare4babies @fabnascimen Good to mention that REM sleep is divided into phasic and tonic stages. Phasic involves rapid eye movements which can occur in conjunction with saw tooth waves over the midline and central regions. π

This looks interesting. The goal of our research should be to take knowledge and improve outcomes for our patients. I expect it will be well attended. π§ β‘οΈπ§¬ @ILAEBRITISH @EpilepsyInst @epilepsysociety @IlaeWeb

We need more public figures to stand up and denounce the racist violence we saw over the last few days. Britain is a diverse and tolerant country which is proud of its multiculturalism.
Iβm proud that people from nearly 200 countries work in our NHS. I completely condemn this racist violence and stand with our staff and the communities they live and work in. Thank you to our emergency services who are working hard to keep everyone safe.

Great to see my home city standing up to the mindless violence. British people will not tolerate racist riots and attacks. We are, and will always be, a tolerant, diverse and multicultural society.

Such an important piece of work which is needed to plan epilepsy services in the U.K. Well done @DrKathrynBush ππ₯³
If you live in the most deprived areas of the UK, your risk of epilepsy is increased by 34% compared to if you live in the least deprived. This is true for adults and children. Read more about it here:
