One thing about Dr Dlamini-Zuma, she will lead in getting practical legislation passed. The Choice of Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1996 and Tobacco Products Amendment Bill, which made it illegal to smoke in public areas. She’s done good work.
Random Fact: it was during the time of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma’s time at home affairs where they started issuing birth certificates at hospitals after babies were born. It seems like such a normal service now but it made such a difference in South Africans being documented.
