GPT-5 is basically AGI. Just a scaffolding problem from here. Which models will be able to build their own scaffolding on the fly within months to 1-2 years. They are technically already capable of this, just small constraints that require humans in the loops still.

i'm an optimist,. but if you think AI will make everyone wealthy without working, you'll be disappointed. even if traditional jobs disappear, there will still be something people need to do. just not jobs in the usual sense.
