I have been running an agency for the last 4 years and I can say this with confidence that employees are more than willing to put in the work and go above and beyond when they see a tangible benefit - fun, network, money.

When you hire disciplined people, you don't need hierarchy to succeed.

One pattern I’ve noticed in happy people is that they’re obsessive about their time and protecting their energy.

Sometimes, what didn't work out for you actually worked out for you. In 2013, I missed out on the job of my dreams. In 2020, I became an entrepreneur, creating job opportunities for others. Glad it worked out the way it did.

People usually judge you based on where you are currently, not what you could become eventually. When I started content creation many commented that I was trying to act like an influencer, when I only had 500 followers. But, I didn’t let that one comment stop me from trying.

Create. A LOT. There's no shortcut. The more you create, and the more often you go viral, the better you will become. But remember there should be a meaning to your creation.

Mediocrity is cancerous. If you accept mediocrity, it sends signals that it is acceptable. Before long, everyone and everything around you is mediocre.

There are only 3 things you need to take care of when you are running a content marketing agency -. 1. Distribution.2. Conversion.3. Retention. Rest of it is just fluff.

Prioritize learning over comparison. Whenever I find myself comparing, I ask myself what is it that I can learn from this creator. Focus on continuous learning. Trends change, but a curious mindset keeps you ahead.

Reminder - Your worth is not determined by the number of followers you gain and how engaging your posts are. Don’t let how a post performs affect your mood. Some of my posts get 2k+ likes. Some of my posts get 500 likes. And that's fine.

You can work out better and for longer if you eat something before starting your workout. Similarly, . You'll be able to produce content when you consume content before creating.

Friendly reminder: You don’t need more resources to become successful. You need to become more resourceful. Start with whatever you have and build on it.

I've been running my agency for almost 3 years now, yet there are days when I ask myself:. "What did I even accomplish?”.

I hate these 3 things about being a CEO:. - Repeating myself a lot.- No 'off' switch.- There is no such thing as balance.

Harsh reality:. You can celebrate the small wins as much as you want but you need a big win to stay in the game.

Marketing truth:. Spending 1 hour on your marketing strategy every day will save you from 6 months of A/B testing.

We are all subject to confirmation bias, and so we only validate our ideas from people who will approve it. Always include people in your team who think differently than you. Only this way will you create better outcomes.

This year has been the best year for my mental health because I decided to be selectively ignorant. - Unfollowed influencers/friends who drained my energy. - Said no to projects and people. The more selectively ignorant you become, the more broadly knowledgeable you can be.
